Hello

I'm Amanda Mastran, owner and operator of NeuroGuides, LLC. As a neurodivergent person myself and a parent to neurodivergent children, I founded NeuroGuides to provide expert consultation and coaching to individuals and families facing similar challenges. With over 20 years of professional experience, I have a deep understanding of the many barriers encountered by neurodivergent and disabled children and adults. At NeuroGuides, we believe in a holistic approach that considers all aspects of an individual's life. Our goal is to ensure our clients receive the knowledge and supports they need in order to thrive in all life domains.

My Story

I started my career as a Maryland special educator in 2006. After nearly a decade in the classroom, I moved to the district level, where I spent the next eight years working as an autism resource teacher, instructional specialist, and special education program coordinator. I've spent my career supporting neurodivergent students and their families. My extensive experience working with educators and parents around the IEP table has provided me with in-depth knowledge of the most common stress points between families and school-based professionals, as well as the skills to mediate and help resolve those disagreements. However, one of the most common areas of need I've seen time and again for neurodivergent children and their families is the need for support and guidance outside of school. And as someone who was diagnosed with ADHD and Autism as an adult, I know from personal experience that finding knowledgable and affirming support as an adult doesn't get any easier.

In order for neurodivergent people to truly thrive and live our best lives, we need (and deserve) access to neurodiversity-affirming services and supports from childhood through adulthood. Enter NeuroGuides, a unique service that seeks to bridge this gap by offering expert educational consultation and caregiver coaching for neurodivergent children, as well as practical, neuroaffirming peer mentoring for Autistic and ADHD adults.

True belonging is the spiritual practice of believing in, and belonging to, yourself so deeply that you can share your most authentic self with the world and find sacredness in both being a part of something and standing alone in the wilderness. True belonging doesn’t require that you change who you are. It requires that you be who you are.
